April 18, 2026 – East 86th Street looks a bit spiffier thanks to a much-needed spring cleaning on Saturday. A team of volunteers removed litter from sidewalks and tree pits and removed graffiti and stickers. City Council member Virginia Maloney and State Assembly Members Rebecca Seawright and Alex Bores pitched in and met our volunteers. A team of professionals from ACE Cleaners helped with the cleanup. We appreciate our neighbor, Chick-fil-A, who sent a team of volunteers ho joined the cleanup and brought a delicious lunch. We are so grateful to all who showed up on Saturday, and to the generous donors who support us! If you would like to make a contribution toward future cleanups, please visit our donation page. Every donation makes a difference.
